Tom Tailor SEE is a leading fashion brand in Southeastern Europe, requiring a robust e-commerce solution that could seamlessly integrate with their existing systems while serving multiple countries.
The goal was to create a fully functional online store that would be connected to their ERP system, product information management (PIM), and content management system (CMS), and allow for rapid expansion to new markets.
Challenges
The key objectives and challenges for the Tom Tailor SEE e-commerce project were:
- ERP Integration: The online store needed to be fully integrated with Tom Tailor’s ERP system, managing prices, inventory, and product attributes, ensuring real-time synchronization across all platforms.
- Centralized Image Repository: The store required integration with Tom Tailor’s central image warehouse located in Germany, used globally to maintain consistent branding and product visuals.
- Multi-Country Deployment: The solution had to support e-commerce operations in 4 countries immediately, with the capability to add more countries swiftly, while also allowing some countries to utilize only CMS functionalities.
- Flexible Content Management: The CMS and PIM integration had to enable web editors to quickly and easily update the website's appearance, edit product descriptions, change images, and set up promotional campaigns.
- Rapid Market Expansion: The platform needed to allow new countries to be added within a 3-week timeframe, including the development of localized payment and logistics modules.
